Gary "Mike" Curnutte

Gary Michael “Mike” “Shnute” Curnutte, age 72, of Carroll, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born January 23, 1949 in Columbus to the late Clyde Chester & Peggy Louise (Shepherd) Curnutte, he was a graduate of Gahanna High School and the University of Pennsylvania, Edinboro. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from JEGS Automotive with 24 years of service. Mike was a good neighbor and friend, and had a larger than life personality. He was also an avid gardener, dog lover, and photographer, a Cleveland Browns fan, and classic car enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Terry Wiegmann; sisters, Margaret (Roger) Ahlberg, and Jacqueline (Phil) Favorito, both of Canal Winchester; brother-in-law, James Wiegmann, Kokomo, IN; nieces and nephews, Jacqueline and Kyle Ahlberg, and Carly and Tony Favorito.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Jean Curnutte.
Friends may visit 1-3 pm Wednesday, June 30 at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home & Crematory, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where a memorial service will follow at 3 pm with the Rev. William Painter officiating.
Friends who wish may contribute to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Disabled American Veterans in Mike’s memory.
