George E. Stumpf

George E. Stumpf, age 91, of Pickerington, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at his residence. Born January 22, 1927 in Portsmouth to the late Charles W. & Della (Mault) Stumpf. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Survived by his wife of 71 years, Alta D. Stumpf; children, Beverly Stumpf Lavy, Michael (Cathy) Stumpf, and Sharon Lynn (Jerry) Shanks; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by son, Charles W. Stumpf; brothers, Charles W. Stumpf and Robert M. Stumpf; and sister, Kathryn Ackerman.
Friends may visit 6-8 pm Sunday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where funeral service will follow at 8 pm. Interment will be 1 pm Monday at South Webster Cemetery in South Webster, Ohio.
