Gregory Lee Bauer

Gregory Lee Bauer, Columbus Firefighter, Station 21, born on January 31, 1965, sadly passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the age of 56 after an extended battle with COVID-19.
Greg is survived by his parents, Lee and Joan Bauer, of Lancaster, OH; sister, Chris (Brian) Henderson; niece, Taylor and nephew, Carson of Wilmette, IL; loving girlfriend, Gabriella Dana D’Alanno and their son, Cole; the Warren families; numerous cousins and countless dear friends. He was especially close to the company of firefighters of Station 21 and others throughout the Columbus Area.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Lillian Bauer and Fred and Bertha Boden.
Greg is a 1983 Graduate of Groveport Madison High School and served in the Columbus Fire Department for 25 years.
Greg dedicated his life to helping others on and off the job and was a good friend to all who were lucky enough to know him.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 25 and from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, October 26 at X Church, 6600 Bigerton Bend, Canal Winchester, OH 43110. Immediately following visiting hours, a celebration of Greg’s life will be held at 3 p.m. at the church with Rev. James Semmelroth-Darnell officiating. Masks will be required for all services.
