Helen I. Kincaid

Helen I. Kincaid, age 79, of Lancaster, died Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Homestead Care Center in Lancaster. Born December 2, 1937 in Upshur County, West Virginia to the late Mifflin and Irene (Morrison) Tichenor. She was a 1955 graduate of Morgantown High School. Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her passion in life was her flower gardens and sharing her music. She traveled with blue grass bands and performed at the Grand Ole Opry. She gave up her music career to follow her dream of being a mother.
Survived by her children, Danny (Jerri Crutcher) Kincaid, Lancaster, Debra (Sam) Price, Rushville, Helen (Steve) Vingle, Pickerington, Darla (Keith) Miller, Carroll, Raymond (Sharon Burkhart) Kincaid, Somerset; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Kincaid in 1983; sister, Ethel Roush; and brothers, Andrew Tichenor and Mifflin Tichenor, Jr.
A private memorial service will be held later; in lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd., Newark, OH 43055 in Helen’s memory.
