Helen Louise Pugh, age 79, of Pickerington, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020. She was born June 18, 1941 in Crites, West Virginia to the late Roy and Gertrude Nester. Helen was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the Pickerington Church of the Nazarene.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Pastor Paul Pugh; her sisters, Linda Nester, Dreama (Charles) Hockman, and Ruth (Roger) Osborne; brother, Douglas Nester; Nieces, Sharon Pletcher and Angela Nester; and nephews, Roy Nester and Tim Nester.

Helen is survived by her son, James “Bryan” Pugh of Lancaster; siblings, Donald (Arzella) Nester of Man, West Virginia, Doran Nester of Newark, Bill (Carol) Nester of Mansfield, Brenda (Jim) Wentz of Ball Ground, Georgia, and Martha (Larry) Harmon of Pickerington; Grandchildren, Justin (Lilly) Pugh, Russell (Ashley Fox) Conkey, and Christian Larkin; great grandchildren, Dahlia and Justin Jr.; Nieces, Mary Collins, Donna Smith, Crystal Spence, Shirley Sabo, Amy Hosom, Tammy Miller, Cheryl Lamb, Sandi Wielt, Monica Whitlock, Stephanie Cook, Kellie Clark, Kim Cupp, and Emilee Harmon; nephews David Nester, Jim Nester, Wesley Hockman, Shawn Harmon and Brandon Harmon; special friend, Joe Buxie of Lancaster; special pet, Allie; as well as numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and family may visit from 5-7pm Friday, September 11, 2020 at THE DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME 550 Hill Road N. Pickerington, Ohio 43147, where a funeral service will follow at 7pm. All covid-19 guidelines will be followed and masks are required. A private interment at Field of Honor Cemetery will be held at a later date.
