James E. "Jim" Middlestead

James E. "Jim" Middlestead, age 65, of Pickerington, died Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his residence. Born September 5, 1956 at Westover AFB in Massachusetts to the late Theodore E. and Rebecca A. (Skinner) Middlestead. He was a 1975 graduate of Groveport High School. Jim retired from Coca Cola in Columbus with 42 years of service, and was a member of Teamsters Local #284. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns.
Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joann; son, James N. (Stacy) Middlestead; daughter, Kristen N. Beretich; son-in-law, Stephen Beretich; grandchildren, Evan Middlestead and Haylee Beretich, all of Pickerington; brothers, David C. (Karen) Middlestead, Pickerington, and Robert J. (Stephanie) Middlestead, East Liberty; brother-in-law, Donald J. (Kathy) Murnane; sisters-in-law, Patricia L. Newton and Kathy S. Murnane; nieces, nephews, and his special buddy, Brutus.
He was preceded in death by grandsons, Aaron and Cole Beretich; and brother-in-law, Mike Newton.
Friends may visit 5-8 pm Friday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home & Crematory, 550 Hill Rd N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where funeral service will follow at 8 pm with Fr. Leo Connolly officiating. Interment will be later at Violet Cemetery in Pickerington.
