James Daniel Raynak, 75, of Groveport, Ohio passed away at home on February 21, 2021. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio March 9, 1945 to the late Chester S. Raynak and Sandra Hetrick.
Jim worked for Time Warner for years as a union negotiator, traveling often. Later he owned and operated 3 Subway sandwich shops in the Columbus area, and enjoyed being an entrepreneur. After retirement he was involved in Cum Christo, World Wide Marriage Encounter, and enjoyed traveling to Greece, Venice, Hawaii, Japan and other fascinating locations with his beloved wife, Patricia. He was a member of the board of the Reserve at Walnut Woods condominium association for several years. He enjoyed good wine, good Chinese food, competitive card games, science fiction, laughing with friends, teasing his grandchildren, and was especially fond of cats. He was a member of Holy Resurrection Melkite-Greek Catholic Church in Columbus, Ohio.
He will be missed by his wife of 28 years, Patricia Raynak; sisters, Roberta Nelson (Richard) and Donna Haag; step-sons, Michael Beale (Christina), Joseph Beale (Marla), John Beale, and Warner Leedy; nieces and nephew; 10 grandchildren and many friends.
Friends may visit Thursday, February 25, from 5-7p.m. with a funeral mass to follow at 7p.m at the DWAYNE R SPENCE FUNERAL HOME 650 W Waterloo St. Canal Winchester Ohio, 43110.
