Janette Hughes

Janette Hughes, age 64, of Columbus, died Monday, January 8, 2018, at her residence. She was born October 19, 1953 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Richard and Johanna Skatzes. Janette enjoyed working for Wal-Mart for 19 years, most recently as a Support Manager. She was a homebody, who appreciated the simple life. Janette enjoyed going out to eat and occasional trips to the casino. She was a fan of the Washington Redskins and a coffee aficionado. Janette was stubborn but had a great sense of humor. She was a loving and caring wife and mother, she cherished time spent with her son.
Preceded in death by her husband, Dallis Hughes.
Janette is survived by her son, Charlie (Laura Peele) Labrie Jr.; brother, Robert Skatzes; sister, Millie Skatzes.
Family and friends may visit from 10-12:00 pm on Friday, January 12, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110. Interment to follow at Union Grove Cemetery.
