JoAnn Wooten

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Jo Ann Wooten. On September 7, 2023 with family by her side, Jo Ann, aged 81, passed away peacefully and was reunited with her beloved daughter, Linda Wood. She was born November 10, 1941 in Huntington, West Virginia to Paul and Opal Noel.

Jo Ann lived a full life as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She met the love of her life, William Wooten at 15 years old. They were married on January 17, 1959 and had been married for over 64 years. Together, they successfully ran multiple businesses, raised 5 children, and were very involved in the lives of their grandchildren. Jo Ann loved to visit casinos, bowl, and play cards with her friends. She will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of all who were privileged enough to be a part of her life.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband, William E. Wooten; daughter, Kathy Munyon; sons, William “Eddie” Wooten Jr., Kenneth (Lisa) Wooten and John Wooten; sister, Betty Jo Miller; son-in- law, Brent Wood; grandsons, Justin Munyon, Joseph Wooten (Jordan), Zavier Wood, Zane Wooten and Bryair Wood; granddaughters, Jordan Fox (Josh), Lexie Wood, Jessa Wooten (Daniel), Brezina Wooten, Panda Wooten and Brailyn Wood; great-grandsons, Jaden Fox, Jace Fox, Jonah Wooten, Jude Fox, Jaqen Wooten and Jensen Wooten; great-granddaughters, Jackson Fox, Jaryn Fox, Jayla Wooten, Jori Fox, Jorja Wooten, Josie Wooten, and another on the way. She is preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Linda Wood; mother, Opal Noel; father, Paul Noel; sisters, Louise and Helen; and brothers Charles and Bob.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00PM followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Rd North, Pickerington. Interment at Violet Cemetery.
