JoAnn Hanners

JoAnn Susil Hanners, age 90, of Bexley, OH passed away Saturday, July 9th, surrounded by her family. She was born July 28, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio. JoAnn graduated from Bexley High School in 1949. She married her high school sweetheart, Norman Wayne Hanners, June 16, 1950. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary just prior to Norman’s death September 7, 2020.

JoAnn is survived by her children, Bruce, Beverly (John Shaffer), Tim (Sophia), and Pauline; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her husband, JoAnn was predeceased by parents, Gladys and Alex Susil; brothers and sister in laws, Dan and Kathleen Susil, Gerald “Bud” and Rose Mary Susil, and sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Grover Bozman.

JoAnn loved all and was loved by all… JoAnn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She lived out her faith to the fullest and shared the love of God with everyone she encountered. Every encounter with JoAnn ended with “Remember, you are deeply loved by God!”
