John K. Fall
March 4, 1957 ~ January 15, 2021 (age 63) 63 Years Old
John K. Fall, age 63, of Pickerington, died Friday, January 15, 2021. Born March 4, 1957 in Columbus. He was preceded in death by his father (Jack Fall) as a young child and was raised by his mother, the late Lenore Jividen Hook, and his stepfather, the late Joseph A. Hook. He was named after the first bishop of the Diocese of Steubenville Ohio, the late John King Mussio, with whom he was close, and for whom he was a pontifical altar server. He was raised in Toronto, Ohio and was a 1975 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School, and received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology. He had his Professional Engineer’s License, and had a long and successful career as a respected engineer for American Electric Power where he was involved in large projects on a local and corporate level. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He coached football for many years, in Reynoldsburg and Pickerington. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Dawn Fall; children, Hannah Fall, New Albany, and Nathan Anderson, Los Angeles; brothers, Steve (Mitzi) Fall, Cincinnati, and Jim Hook, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister, Margie (Al) Echko, Pittsburgh; mother-in-law, Marty Shortland; sister-in-law, Kathy Hook; good friends, Bill Yuskovic, Larry Hicks, and Mike Ginaven; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Hook and Robert Hook. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home & Crematory, 550 Hill Rd N (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where a funeral service will follow at 8 pm. Masks are required in the funeral home and social distancing must be observed. Seating is limited in the chapel and friends are encouraged to view the service via the livestream link which will be posted below before the service. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to Pickerington Central Tiger Football Program, 300 Opportunity Way, Pickerington, Ohio 43147 in John’s memory.
