John Leroy Lent

John Leroy Lent, age 80, of Canal Winchester, died on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Lanfair Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care.
Born on February 25, 1938 to the late Richard and Lucinda Lent, he was a graduate of Zaleski High School in Zaleski, Ohio, he was a member of the Operating Engineers. John was an avid car collector, hunter and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife, Virgiline “Virgie”; brothers, Robert Lent and Charles Lent; and his sister, Anabelle Peters; John is survived by his daughters, Susan (Mark) Hartman and Jonda (David) Hennosy; grandchildren, Ashley (Kevin) Palmer, Derek (Micaela) Hartman, Trevor Hennosy, Dava Hennosy; great-grandchildren, Calvin and Griffin Palmer, Kennedy Hartman; sisters-in-law, Sue Lent and Helen Lent; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit 10 – 11 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110 where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
