John P. Letourneau, age 60, of Pickerington, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 8, 2018 at his home. He was born March 26, 1958 in Biddeford, Maine to the late (Jean) Paul and Jeannette (Roy) Letourneau. John was a member of Seton Parish Catholic Church for many years, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus (KofC) Council 11187. John was a distinguished member of Technical Staff at Bell Labs for 33 years and was most recently employed at Chemical Abstracts Services. He was a mentor for the Digital Fusion Robotics Team, and on the Board of Directors at The St. Joseph Home Inc. John enjoyed gardening, crocheting and craft beers. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Ohio State football. John’s passion was cooking and nurturing those he loved through food. He cooked for many years at the Seton Festival, many events with the KofC, and the Holy Trinity Greek Festival in Steubenville. John is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Cris Letourneau; his daughter, Alexa Letourneau; and his brother, Jim (Norm Plate) Letourneau. Family and friends may visit 4-7:30 pm on Wednesday, April 18 at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 550 Hill Rd. N. Pickerington, Ohio 43147 where a vigil service will be held at 7:15 pm. A funeral mass, officiated by Fr. James Klima, will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, April 19 at Seton Parish Catholic Church, 600 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington, Ohio.
