John Poole

John Thomas Poole, age 76, of Columbus, OH passed away January 5, 2019. He was born July 23, 1942 in Columbus, OH to the late Harry and Loma Poole. John enjoyed camping, fishing and family vacations. John maintained his loyalty to his Catholic faith throughout his life. He loved spending time with his children and enjoyed sharing funny stories from their past. John was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan.

Survivors include his wife Margaret “Kay” Poole; four children, Tina West, Kelly (Robert) Pullins, Chris (William Jr.) Pollock and Harry Poole; daughter-in-law, Sheri Poole; three step children, Mike Matheny, Lexie Wilson and Mark Matheny; 12 grandchildren, Sarah (Spencer) Tower, Holly (Mick Robinson) West, Hillary (Cody) Hildebrand, Matthew West, Jonathan Pullins, Andrew Pullins, Lauren (Deaven) Swickheimer, Joshua Thomas Pollock, Jamie MacNealy; Shellie Poole, Sallina Poole and Noah John Poole; three great grandchildren, Skyler MacNealy, Devon MacNealy and Brentley Tower; extended family and friends.

Arrangements by DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, Canal Winchester, OH. Family and friends may visit 11-1:00pm on Tuesday, January 8, at Eastland Christian Church, 3371 Noe Bixby Rd, Columbus, OH 43232 with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm. Interment at Silent Home Cemetery, Reynoldsburg, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
