Joseph S. Meyer, age 94, of Groveport, died Saturday, November 19, 2022 at his residence. Born March 17, 1928 in Kell, IL to the late January J. and Alfa (Frost) Meyer. He was retired from the U.S Air Force and from Glassman Glass Installation Co. He was a member of the VFW Post #10523 in Canal Winchester and the Air Force Sergeants Association. Joe was a loving and devoted husband, father, and “GG”.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence in 2017; grandchildren, Jason Allen and Jamie Allen; three brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his daughters, Patricia (David) Carr and Linda Stokes; granddaughters, Tera (Jeffery) Martin and Kelly (Stephen Jones) Carr; great-grandchildren, Mya, Jesse, and Geneva; sister, Clara (John) Lambert; long-time friends, Betty & Dellno “Lou” Lewis and their children, Leslie and Jim; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Friends may visit 10 am to 12 noon Saturday, November 26 at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUENRAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will follow at 12 pm. Interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
Friends who wish may contribute to Mt. Carmel Hospice in his memory.
