Joshua J. Horne

Josh Horne, 37, passed away on November 18. Born July 22, 1986, his memory is lovingly held by his parents: Annette (Leo) DiSabato and Michael Horne; his grandparents: Jesse and Carole Pope and Dorothy Horne; his many siblings: Jessica Horne, Raquel Dahler and family, Erica Horne and family, Michael Thomas Horne, Emelio DiSabato and family, Callie (Justin) DiSabato, Eli (Marissa) DiSabato, Maria DiSabato, Arelle McDonald and family, Braden Moore and family; his extended family: Alicia (Chris) Myers and family, Joe (Kerrie) Pope and family, Ray Horne, Patty (Richard) Brenner, Tammy (Larry) Colley; aunts, uncles, cousins, coaches, and countless friends.
Josh is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gene Horne; stepmothers Lisa and Theresa, and his uncle, Mark Horne.
A graduate of Pickerington Central High School, class of 2005, Josh was a talented and accomplished wrestler, placing thrice as a state tournament finalist and winning the championship title in 2005. He graduated from Ohio University, where he also wrestled competitively. Josh’s legendary competitive drive extended beyond wrestling; his unbridled, triumphant joy when he won–which he often did, at many things–was unforgettable. He will be remembered for his big laugh, sharp intelligence, and his profoundly deep love of family and friends.
Family will receive friends at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Rd N (St Rt #256), Pickerington on Sunday, November 26 beginning at 1pm, until the memorial service, which will begin in the same location at 3pm. After the memorial, all are welcome to celebrate Josh’s life at Emelio’s Restaurant (574 Georgesville Road).
