Roberta Joyce Morehart

Joyce Morehart, age 89, of Lithopolis, OH was carried by angels to her heavenly home on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Crestview Rehab facility surrounded by her family.
Joyce was born August 16, 1933 in Sargent, Nebraska to the late George and Lucia (Metcalf) Carr. She graduated from Groveport High School, class of 1951. After raising her family, she joined the Ohio Education Association where she worked for 24 years. Joyce was a devoted Christian and member of Trinity Family Life Center and former member of Bloom Presbyterian Church. She spent time volunteering at Mt. Carmel East hospital, where she especially enjoyed working in the gift shop.
Her interests were cooking and baking, square dancing, hiking, traveling, playing cards, reading, playing with her cats and she was an avid collector of angels.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her former husband, Ronald “Ronnie” Morehart; sister, Gayle Carr and brother-in-law, Gene Bussard.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Vaughn, Pickerington, David (Tami) Morehart, Carroll, and Dennis (Cindy) Morehart, Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Jason (Samantha) Wood, Columbus, Ben (Jennifer) Morehart, Bowling Green, Jon (Joan) Wood, Hilliard, Josh (Candice) Morehart, Wadsworth, and Caleb (Kate) Morehart, Pickerington; great-grandchildren, Alissa (Brandon) Smith, Anjewel (Ray) Spangler, Jason (Maddy) Wood, Jaylin Wood, Jordan Wood, Jackson Wood, Liam Wood, Samuel Morehart, Fiona Wood, and Liana Wood; great-great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Lucas, and Colton; sister, Wanda Bussard, Groveport; nieces and nephews; and cousins from Nebraska. Friends are welcome to visit Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 10-12PM at the DWAYNE R SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, CANAL WINCHESTER. A funeral service will follow immediately at 12PM, Pastor Scott Kelso officiating. Burial will take place at Lithopolis Cemetery.
