Julia K. Martin, age 90, of Reynoldsburg, died Monday, April 19, 2021 at Echo Manor in Pickerington. She was born August 7, 1930 in Columbus to the late Coulter Earl & Dorothy E. (Kinney) Paugh. She was a retired head dietician for Columbus Public Schools, and was a member of BPOE #37 in Grove City and OAPSE. She especially enjoyed reading her Bible and sewing, and was a member of the Buckeye Country Music Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy A. Martin, Sr.; her son, Billy A. Martin, Jr.; and brothers, George (Marlene) Paugh and Hugh “Woody” Paugh.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean (David) DeMatteo; grandchildren, Carl (Tinna) DeMatteo, Jr., Bill (Sara) DeMatteo, Tonya (Terrance) Walker, Billy Ray Martin, and Trevor Martin; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Minutilli and Dorothy Lerum; brothers, Coulter “Buzz” (Blanche) Paugh, Jr., James (Kathleen) Paugh, Carl “Bob” (Betty) Paugh; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit 3-5 pm Sunday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Road N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where funeral service will be held 10 am Monday with her nephew, the Rev. Carl Paugh, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Twp. Cemetery in Blacklick. Masks are required in the funeral home and social distancing must be observed.
