Julia A. “Judy” Moyer, age 89, of Columbus, died Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born November 8, 1929, in Portsmouth, OH to the late Ernest and Elizabeth (Riggs) White. Julia was a hardworking wife and mother who loved to cook and bake. As a military wife for over 60 years, she had a strong love for her country and the military. She enjoyed playing cards, was an avid fan of Ohio State, Texas Tech and Otterbein athletics, and loved supporting her grandkids at their soccer games. Julia was always very generous with her baked goods and time available to others. She was a loving and caring mother, Mam Maw and friend. Preceded in death by her husband, George H. Moyer; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Julia is survived by her children, Ken (Paula) Moyer, of Texas, Pamela A. Bowser; grandchildren, Kyle (Erin) Moyer, of Texas, Becky Bowser, of Texas, and Bo (Taylor) Bowser; great-grandchildren, Bo Bowser, Monroe Bowser and Dylan Bowser. Family and friends may visit 2-3:00pm on Friday, August 2, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110, where a funeral service will follow at 3:00pm. Private interment will take place at Asbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Julia’s memory can be made to Meals on Wheels, 670 Harmon Ave, Columbus, OH 43223 or to the Ronald McDonald House, 711 E Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH 43205.
