Tribute

Leatrice Mason, 90, of Columbus, died on Friday, November 9, 2018 at her residence. Born on June 14, 1928 to the late William and Mabel Cossin, Leatrice worked as a Technician for AT&T for 30 years and was a member of their Pioneer volunteer group. Leatrice was a ballroom dance instructor, wonderful cook, and cake decorator. She will be remembered for her love of the Christmas holiday and her dedication to her family. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Beck; former son-in-law, John Beck; grandchildren, Nicholas (Drey) Beck and Heather Beck; grandson Ezra Beck; siblings, Betty Henry and Carol Sayre; niece, Linda (Gus) Garman; nephew, John (Jeanne) Mason; and too many family and friends to mention. Leatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Mason, Jr.; and her siblings, Golden Cossin, Bill Cossin, Howard Cossin, Pat Odea, Ruth Jacobs, and Dixie Mignone. Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13th at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14th. Interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Leatrice’s memory to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
