Lloyd Willard Solt

Lloyd Willard Solt, age 89, of Canal Winchester, died Sunday, November 26, 2017 at his residence. Born March 17, 1928 in Columbus to the late Chester P. and Ada M. (Smith) Solt. He was retired from AEP/Columbus Southern Power, and was a member of Peace Free Lutheran Church. He was a 50 year member and Past Master of Southgate Potter Lodge #782 F&AM.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Rachel “Lucy” Solt; sons, twins Randall (Nancy) Solt, Lithopolis, and Kendall Solt, Canton, and Kim L. (Jane) Solt, Groveport; daughter, Jill M. (Jim) Hummel, Canal Winchester; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his second wife, Dora Solt; daughter, Donna Ruth Solt; and brother, Joseph Solt.
Friends may visit 5-7 pm Wednesday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W.Waterloo St., Canal Winchester. Funeral service will be 10:30 am Thursday at Peace Free Lutheran Church, 28 Elm Street, Canal Winchester, 43110 with Pastor Michael Johnson officiating. Interment Union Grove Cemetery.
There will be a Masonic Service 6:45 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
