Lorraine Hope Allison

Lorraine Hope Burner Allison, 94, of Pickerington, Ohio passed away June 7, 2022. She was born September 16, 1927 to the late Olen and Virginia Bolyard Burner. In 1946, she married Donald Allison and they lived their married life in the Akron, Ohio area where she worked in retail sales and the school system cafeteria. After Don’s death in 2013, she moved to Pickerington to be close to her daughter and family. Square dancing, card playing, and eating out were among the things she loved. Her cross stitch skills were widely admired and she shared her work with many friends. She traveled extensively around the country with family and friends and went to Australia at the age of 90.
She is survived by daughter Karen (Jay) Westfall, grandchildren Dawn (Ben) Courtier and Jason (Lisa) Westfall and two great grandchildren Kirsten & JJ Westfall. She is also survived by her brother, Adrian (Kay) Burner of Philippi, WV; sister, Karen (Gary) Coffman of Olathe, KS; sister-in-law, Mary Burner of Woodsfield, OH; and several nephews. In addition to her husband Don, she was preceded in death by brother, Olen Jr (Bud) Burner; sisters, Loueda Shaffer and Lora Ervin; brother-in- law Roger Ervin; nephew, Greg Shockey; and niece, Sue Burner Greene.
