Tribute

Gerhold “Farley” “Rappold”, Margaret Ann
Margaret Ann Gerhold “Farley”, age 61, went home to be with her lord and savior on September 17, 2021. She was born on March 27, 1960 to the late Joseph and Mary Rappold in Columbus, Ohio. Margaret graduated in 1978 from Bexley High School. Peggy, affectionately referred to as Mimi, was full of gentleness and kindness. Her loving warmth was felt by everyone who knew her. Peggy always put others needs before her own and had a way of making people feel special. Her goofy spirit brought a smile to our faces and laughter to our lives. Among her many talents was her artistic abilities, which she used to bless others. Whether it was her Mimi’s minis, hand-felted stockings, or her Living Tree walking sticks, her attention to detail left the recipient knowing they were loved. Peggy delighted in God’s creation and sought inspiration from the beauties of nature. Her greatest joys in life were her family and grandchildren, whom she took every opportunity to shower abundantly with love. Peggy taught us how to love fearlessly and unconditionally. The week proceeding her death Peggy experienced a week full of newfound freedom and joy. Following an event with her Living Stones Church family she had written, “Don’t ever underestimate the power of God, The Holy Spirit, prayer, and fellowship.”

She is survived by her husband, Jim Gerhold; children, Michelle (Mike) Glanzman, Aaron (Katy) Farley, Kathryn (Juan) Martinez Shane (Mandy) Gerhold, Taylor Gerhold; grandchildren, Anna, Isaac, A.J., and Evie Glanzman, Samuel, Emma, and Margaret “Maggie” Farley, Sofia, Lena, Maya, and Regina Martinez, Alaina and Braxton Gerhold, and another baby Gerhold on the way; siblings, Gary (Nancy) Rappold, Mary Beth Eberley, Cathy (Steve) Oyler, Tony (Nyla) Rappold; ex-husband, Matt Farley; brother-in-law, Mike (Teri) Gerhold; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Gerhold, Peggy Herdman, Valerie Gerhold, June Gerhold; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Nick Rappold; brothers-in-law, Ric Eberley and Richard Gerhold.
