Marie A. McCann

Marie A. (Tony) McCann, age 90, of Reynoldsburg, OH passed away October 2, 2018. She was a graduate of Charleston Catholic High School Charleston, WV and received a BS Degree from St. Mary of the Springs (Ohio Dominican University). She worked as a medical technologist until starting a family and became a stay at home mom. Her family was her greatest joy and always came first. She enjoyed watching old movies, especially musicals, reading, but most of all tap dancing with seniors for twenty years with Charlotte Browns Snappy Senior Tappers.

Preceded in death by parents, Emily and Maurad Zain; husband, Thomas J. McCann; son, Patrick; daughter, Patricia; son-in-law, Thomas Culley; grandson, Zack Van Meter; great granddaughter, Ellisyn Marshall; sister, Mary Jean Zain; brothers, Faris and George Zain; brother-in-law, Randy Bowles; and nephew, Brian Bowles. She is survived by daughters, Kathleen McCann and Mary Culley; sons, Thomas, John, Joe (Pam) and Michael (Donna) McCann; grandchildren, Laura and Jason Culley, Patrick McCann; great grandchildren, Emily, Evan, Ensley Marshall, Addison and Josh Culley; sister, Laura Bowles of South Charleston, WV; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Zain of Charleston, WV, Deloris Zain of South Charleston, WV; brother, Joseph (Emily) Zain of Knoxville, TN; many nieces and nephews especially Teresa and David Bowles.

The family would like to give special thanks to Fairhope Hospice for their compassionate care. Family and friends may visit 5-8:00pm on Thursday, October 4, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. N. Pickerington, OH 43147. A funeral service will begin at 1:00pm on Friday, October 5, at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S High St, Lockbourne, OH 43137. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Histiocytosis research or St. Jude Hospital.
