Marie Rose Vega

Marie Rose Vega, age 84, of Columbus, OH passed away May 18, 2021. She was born August 8, 1936 to the late Joseph and Hannah Gibbons in Lymm, England. Marie loved animals and spending time in her garden.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Virgilio Vega; and brother, Cedric Gibbons. Survivors include her three children, Juan (Kelly) Vega, Anne (Mike) Shaw and Christina Rankin; three grandchildren, Steven Vega, Joseph Rankin and Rebecca Rankin; sister, Sheelagh Leggett; numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements by DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, Canal Winchester, OH. In honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and services will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Cat Welfare Association or to a charity of one’s choice.
