Marilou Clouse

Marilou Clouse, age 83, died Friday, November 17, 2023. Born August 9, 1941, in Ashland, Kentucky to the late John and Margaret Wunderlin. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Paul Clouse; daughters, Mary (Michael) O’ Connor, Melissa (Jeff) Wiess, Martha (Edwin) Winkleman; four very dear and special grandchildren, Molly Nicole O’Connor-Smith, Ryan Michael O’Connor, Zachary Edwin Winkleman, and Alexis Gabriella Winkleman; sister, Linda Baus. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Michael Paul; brother, Johnny Wunderlin.
Marilou was a retired Registered Nurse, graduating from Mount Carmel School of Nursing. Along with Paul, she has been very involved in Marriage Encounter for 40 years. She had an enthusiasm for nature and flowers and was active as a Master Gardener and Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist. A devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother (Mema). Marilou and Paul were high school sweethearts, meeting at Rosary High School. Her dream was to be a nurse, a career she enjoyed, until she had a family and provide them with special love and care. She had a strong religious devotion and was active in the Catholic Church as a Eucharist Minister, RCIA program leader and with marriage enrichment activities. She loved to travel and learn about new things and places. Always ready to help as a room mother, Brownie helper, band trip chaperone, and medical provider. Friends and family may visit Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home 650 W. Waterloo St, Canal Winchester, OH 43110 on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 4-7pm. A funeral mass will take place at St, John XXIII 5170 Winchester Southern Rd, Canal Winchester, OH 43110 on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 10am with Fr. Peter Gideon officiating.
