Mary Elizabeth Evans

Mary Elizabeth Evans (Bearhs) born July 30, 1934 in Pomeroy, Ohio, passed away November 13, 2021, in Canal Winchester, Ohio. The daughter of Rollin and Mable Bearhs (deceased).  Mary’s best friend and sister Harriet Pullins (deceased), brother Jim Bearhs (deceased). She graduated from Chester High School and married Roy A. Evans (deceased) on January 1st, 1954.
Mary was a longtime resident of Canal Winchester where she and Roy raised two children. Pam Justice (Dale) of The Villages, Florida and Jay of Numbrecht, Germany. Mary was a longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church in Canal Winchester. She worked many years for Scott Printing in Grandview, Ohio. Mary then worked and retired from Nationwide Insurance in 2000. Mary and Roy had 5 grandchildren Eric Justice, Seth Justice, Mark Evans, Justin Evans, and Megan Evans (Marcel Dornseifer) and 2 great grandchildren, Jaden Evans and Maila Evans. Mary and Roy had many nieces and nephews and dear friends and neighbors.
Friends and family may call from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 19 at the funeral home with Pastor Clark Hess officiating.
