Mary Hayes

Mary Hayes, age 90, of Pickerington, formerly of Rocky River, died Tuesday, January 08, 2019 at Amber Park in Pickerington. Born June 5, 1928 in Cleveland to the late James & Margaret (Kennedy) O’Brien, she was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Cleveland and St. John School of Nursing in Lakewood. She was retired from the American Red Cross, and was a 60 year member of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Rocky River.
Preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Francis Hayes in 1974; son, Timothy Hayes in 2017; sister, Peggy Boberg; and brother, James O’Brien.
She is survived by her children, Patrick (Kelly) Hayes, Hamilton, Maryellen (Tim) Conway, Pickerington, Brian (Mei) Hayes, Marietta, GA; daughter-in-law, Char Hayes, North Ridgeville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Kashie (Don) Seidler, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held later, with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute to the American Red Cross in Mary’s memory.
