Mary Olney

Mary Lou Olney, age 82, of Powell, OH passed away April 21, 2024. She was born October 21, 1941 in Delaware, OH, growing up in Cardington, OH to the late Kenneth Evans and Gladys Armstrong.

Mary enjoyed her many years living in Florida and most importantly spending time with her family, friends and her cat. She loved to take cruises with the Columbus Firefighter Retirees and adventure around the Caribbean.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Eugene Olney; and sister, Barbara Evans.

She is survived by her two children, Pamela (David) Hess and Anthony (Kimberly) Main; two grandchildren, Colin Hess and Evan Hess; two great grandchildren, Kael Hess and Lincoln Hess; sister, Rose Stimmel; and longtime friend, James Milliken.

A graveside service will begin at 11:00am on Thursday, May 2, at Violet Cemetery, 180 E Columbus St, Pickerington, OH 43147.

Friends and family are encouraged to join in a Celebration of Mary's Life from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Thursday, May 2 in the banquet room at Local Roots, 15 E. Olentangy St., Powell, OH 43065. Hors' d'oeuvres will be served as we gather to share our favorite memories and stories of her very special life.
