Melanie Begley

Melanie L. Begley, age 57, of New Albany, died Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Kobacker House. Born September 30, 1960 in Wheeling, WV, she was a 1979 graduate of Wheeling Park High School. She received her bachelor of education degree from West Virginia University, and her masters from Mary Grove College. She was an English teacher at Pickerington Central High School, and was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her children, Krista Begley, Columbus, Nicholas Begley, Pickerington, Kaytlynn Begley, New Albany; parents, Ron & Liz Smith, Wheeling; former husband, James “Russ” Begley; sisters, Kimberly (John) Clark, Tami (Michael) Greco, Jodi (Gary) Hall; brothers, Ronnie (Amanda) Smith, Sean (Jennifer) Smith; special friend, Julie (Larry) Brunner; nieces and nephews, Brandi Hall, Travis Smith, Britney (Alan) DePeu, Trevor Smith, and Rachel Smith.
Friends may visit noon to 2:30 pm Tuesday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 550 Hill Road N. (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington. Funeral service will be private.
