M. Jean Raymond

Mima “Jean” Raymond, age 72, of Pickerington, died Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born September 15, 1945 in Paintsville, KY, Jean was a 1963 graduate of South High School; a member of the South High Girls Club and the Alumni Association. She worked and retired after 30 years as a buyer for DSCC.
Jean enjoyed traveling, including trips with her girlfriends, antiquing and loved all animals. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by her mother, Jetty Ward; and father, Omar Taylor, Jean is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Kenneth Raymond; son, Jeff (Stacey) Raymond; grandchildren, Justin and Jake Raymond, Tricia (Will) Townsend, Matthew, Nicholas and Sydney Perkins, Jessica (Chas) Smith, Trevor (Danielle) Smith; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Townsend; brother, Doug Taylor; nieces, nephew and other extended family. Family and friends may visit 4-7:00 pm on Monday, August 20, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington, OH 43147, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 21. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
