Onnolee Kantner
March 27, 1927 ~ June 21, 2022 (age 95) 95 Years Old
Onnolee Kantner of Canal Winchester, Ohio passed away on June 21, 2022 at the age of 95. Born in Wapakoneta, Ohio on March 27, 1927, to the late James and Mildred (Fry) McClintock, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl; grandson, Colin Kantner; brother and sister-in-law, James and Marilyn McClintock; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and John Koch. Onn is survived by daughter, Kim (Chuck) West of Canal Winchester; son, John (Janie) Kantner of Canal Winchester; beloved grandchildren, Logan West, Brendan Kantner, Bailey (Jason) Ordway; nieces and nephews. Onnolee graduated from Wapakoneta Blume High School, where she met and later married the love of her life. She attended Bluffton College as a music major and subsequently taught in Ansonia, Ohio, before moving to Canal Winchester, where she and Earl lived for many years and raised their family. She cherished the students and colleagues she spent her days and years with as a teacher at Canal Winchester Elementary. Onn continued her education at The Ohio State University and was an avid Buckeyes fan. She loved her Woodsview Drive neighbors, her bridge club, her church family at Faith UMC, and the many dear friends made along the way. As she neared the end of this life, her wonderful caregivers held a special place in her heart. Onnolee treasured time with family and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In keeping with her wishes, there will be a private graveside service. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
