Philip Theodore Nowicki, of Columbus Ohio, passed away on August 26, 2019 after a long battle with chronic illnesses.
He was born in Binghamton, New York on August 1, 1952, son of the late Theodore and Betty Nowicki.
Philip was a 1974 graduate of Drew University and a 1978 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at Tufts New England Medical Center in 1981 and his fellowship in neonatal medicine at Brown University and Rhode Island Women and Infants Hospital in 1983. He practiced medicine as a neonatologist.
Philip is survived by his two sons, Drew 35, Zachary 32 and daughter-in-law Breanne as well as two granddaughters. He also leaves behind his brothers Peter, Stephen and Mathew, their spouses and several nephews and nieces.
Philip is a member of Seton Parish, Pickerington Ohio. He enjoyed historical reading and constructing models. He was an avid Ohio State fan.
A funeral mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 5 at St. Elizabeth Ann Perish, 600 Hill Road N., Pickerington, Ohio 43147.
The family requests contributions to The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association in his honor in lieu of flowers.
