Phyllis J. Morris, age 87, of Canal Winchester, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born August 28, 1930 in Pickerington to the late David & Molly King, she was a 1948 graduate of Pickerington High School and received her Bachelors degree from Otterbein University. She was a retired English teacher, having taught at Pickerington and Canal Winchester schools. She loved her family and grandchildren, and enjoyed her church, gardening, traveling, being outdoors, and sewing.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lowell H. Morris; daughter, Cindy (Mark) Harden; son, David (Janet) Morris, all of Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Ashlee (Todd) Donaldson, Kyle Harden, Jeffrey (Roxana) Morris, Deanna (Dave) Sorrell; great-grandchildren, Jaymes Lowell Donaldson, Maddie, Emma, and Rylee Sorrell; sisters-in-law, Lee (Dave) Mills, LaRene (Jack) Bruggeman, Lynn (Jerry) Vogt; brothers-in-law, Ross (Betty) Morris, Gary (Rhea) Morris; nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester. Funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday at Grace Bible Church, 424 Gender Rd., Canal Winchester, with the Rev. Jeff Billingsley officiating. Interment Union Grove Cemetery.
