Randy Hevener

Randall H. Hevener, age 64, of Canal Winchester, died Friday, September 13, 2019. He was born December 18, 1954, in Marlinton, WV to the late Henry and Pearle Hevener. Randy was a Civil Engineering Magna cum laude graduate of West Virginia University. He was Manager of Asset Recovery for American Electric Power, a Professional Engineer and Professional Surveyor. Randy was a man of faith, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and cherished time spent with family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and working outdoors. Randy was well respected and loved; a friend and mentor to many. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Karen Hevener; children, Adam (Amy) Hevener, Bethany (Jason) Bateman; grandchildren, Jack and Joel Bateman, Logan Hevener; brother, Timothy Hevener; and many extended family. Family and friends may visit 11-1:00pm on Thursday, September 19, at the DWYANE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110, where a funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jerry Kazee Jr., will follow at 1:00pm. Interment will take place at Gum Cemetery, Durbin, WV, at 3:00pm on Friday, September 20.
