Raymond Gerard Creamer

December 24, 1930 ~ November 21, 2022 (age 91) 91 Years Old

Tribute

Raymond Gerard Creamer, age 91, almost shared a birthday with Jesus. He was born December 24, 1930, in Huntington, West Virginia.  From humble beginnings, Ray went on to create an abundant and exceptional life.

Ray was a proud member of the United States Navy serving aboard the USS Salem during the Korean War. After his service he continued his career in television sales at WSAZ in Huntington, West Virginia, WTVN-TV (ABC) in Columbus, Ohio and WPEC in West Palm Beach, Florida. During his television tenure he achieved numerous industry awards and accolades. He loved his work and the people he worked with, and the feeling was mutual. His other proud accomplishments include being a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus, Knight of the year twice, Catholic man of year nominee, but his happiest moments were the ones with his family.

Ray was a force: a force of strength, a force of laughter, a force of stability, a force of security, a force of faithfulness, but most of all a force of love. Ray was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, but his most important title is that of devout Catholic. He was a man of great renowned faith that will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by his parents, Gerard Matthew and Pearl Opal, and his siblings, Robert Creamer and Patricia Lunsford.

Survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Joan Creamer, daughters Cheryl Mace (James Dean), Ramona Morrison (John), sons Matthew (Jill), Mark (Debbi), Kevin (Donna), 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
