Raymond Lewis Goodin

Ray Goodin passed away on July 10, 2021 at the age of 96. Ray was born on November 24, 1924 in Newark, Ohio to Archie and Arla Goodin. After graduation from Newark High School, Ray served as an Army Combat Medic during WWII, including at the Battle of the Bulge. Ray worked 42 years for Ohio Power/AEP in the Newark and Canton Offices. He is survived by his wife of almost 68 years, Joan Green Goodin; his daughters, Eileen Goodin, Karen Goodin (Jodi Gwin) and Amy (Brian) Bowersox. He was a member of Asbury South United Methodist Church. Ray loved sports, particularly Ohio State and Cleveland football and baseball.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St, Canal Winchester, OH with a memorial service immediately following at 6 p.m. Private burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
