Regina C. Reade

Regina Reade, age 83, of Pickerington, died Friday, September 14, 2018 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. She was born January 10, 1935 in Columbus, to the late Reginald W. and Gertrude I. (Aldrich) Ryan. Regina was a 1953 graduate of Linden McKinley High School and graduated from Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1958. She retired after 35 years, working as a Registered Nurse. Regina volunteered her time leading Cub and Girl Scout troops for many years. She enjoyed collecting dolls, her many pets and loved gardening, needle working, including crocheting and knitting. Preceded in death by her husband, James Reade; and brother, William Ryan. Regina is survived by her children, Lisa Reade Carter, Stephen Charles (Lisa Anne) Reade, Patrick R. (Theresa) Reade, Lynn Marie Reade; grandchildren, Riain Carter, Nick and Mitchell Reade, Andrew, Matthew and Brendan Reade; sisters, Kathleen Gooden, Judy (Dave) Beery; sister-in-law, Molly Ryan; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit from 5-8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 18, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 HILL Rd. N., Pickerington, OH 43147. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 19, at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S High St, Lockbourne, OH 43137, interment to follow.
