Richard Williams Allen

Richard Williams Allen, age 76, passed away November 24, 2021. He was born in Plainwell, MI on December 20, 1944 to the late Gerald and Marian Allen. Richard is survived by his wife, Marilyn E. Allen; son, Brian Allen; and grandsons, Shane and Kevin. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Richard was a 1963 graduate of Plainwell High School in Michigan. He was also a graduate of Allied Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. Richard spent 25 years at Owens Corning as an engineer and plant manager. He also started a company called Polyshield that made protective film. He loved flying remote controlled airplanes, and was an avid University of Michigan Football fan. Richard loved his family and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Friends and family may visit calling hours at The Family Church of Pickerington 13475 Toll Gate Rd., Pickerington, OH 43147 on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 1-3p.m. The funeral service will follow beginning at 3 p.m. at the church on Wednesday. Interment will take place on Friday December 3, 2021 at 2:30 p.m at East Cooper Township Cemetery in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
