Richard Eugene Dellinger

Richard “Dick” Eugene Dellinger, age 92, passed away on January 1, 2022. He was born on September 4, 1929 to the late Hilda and Arnold Dellinger in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from North Side High in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1947, and graduated from International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1948. Later, he would work at Automotive Quality Control in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. Richard enjoyed swimming, bowling, and playing cards with his many friends in Ohio and Florida. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Norma Dellinger; children, Rick (Audrey) Dellinger of Pickerington, OH, Sandy (Robert) Nye of Mansfield, OH, and Jay (Terry) Dellinger of Oregon, OH; grandchildren Sydney (Jesse) Smith, Lily (Scott) Park, Andrew Dellinger, Stephanie (Chris) Rengstorf, Zach (Brandi) Huss, Ashley (Nick) Grady; 8 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Lillian Gardner. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Dellinger; sister-in-law, Mary Dellinger; brother-in-law, Jake Gardner. As Richard wished, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to a charitable organization of your choice.
