Richard Joseph Perez was born on October 20, 1961 in Abilene, Texas to parents Malania Loretta Perez and Richard Martinez Perez. He was the second born of six children. Richard was a father of four children and grandfather of five. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and a friend to many. Richard was a painter by trade but an artist at heart. He was a loving man with a gentle soul and always willing to help other people.
He enjoyed bike riding, going for walks, fixing cars, playing his guitar and just laughing and sometimes he would do karaoke, but most of all he loved being around his family making memories and spending time with his grandchildren. Today we are here to celebrate Richard’s GOING HOME, it’s hard to imagine what our lives will be like without his laughter and jokes and the ricky rock dance.
He is predeceased by his brother, Robert Perez. Richard’s memory will live on though his children, Dustin Harless, Phillip (Autavia) Perez, Joseph (Angela) Perez, Sierra Perez; grandchildren, Joseph Perez II, Xaiden Perez, Gabriel Perez, Arianna Perez, Mya Cooley; siblings, Raven Coyote, Rudy (Lance) Andrews, Loretta (Ralph) Douglas, Kenneth (Kim) Morgan; nephew, Michael Stuckey; nieces, Samantha Howard, Breanna Gooday, Malania Perez; aunt, Rita Pecka; Unlce, Mike Pecka; Cousin, David Pecka; family, Robert Cooley, Aprile Foster, Bobby Hawkins, Deba Jag, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends may visit 11-12 Monday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo Street, Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m.
“He Knows Why” God saw you getting weary; he did what He saw was best. He came and stood beside you and whispered, “Come and rest.” You bid us no farewell, not even a good-bye. You were gone before we knew it, Only God knows why. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. God gives us strength to bear it, And the courage to take the blow, But what it meant to lose you, No one but God will know.
We love and miss you Richard
