Richard F. Phillips, age 81, of Pickerington, died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born March 27, 1936 in Columbus, OH.
Richard was a graduate of Central High School. He attended Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church. Richard worked in the Insurance industry for over 40 years; working at Buckeye Union Insurance, Continental Insurance, CNA Insurance, USF&G Insurance and National Ground Water Assoc. He was an avid antique car collector.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Don Noble; nephew, Douglas Noble; niece, Vicki Basbagill.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Carolyn Phillips; sisters-in-law, Rosemary (Charles) Soloman, Carol Noble, Naomi (James) Peters; brother-in-law, Robert (Mary Beth) Noble; nephews, Dick Noble, Joel Noble, Keith Noble, David Noble; nieces, Melinda Kreacic, Alisa Noble, Laura Martin, Denise Baker, Rita Cook, Michele Stravelakis; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit from 2-4:00 pm on Saturday, October 14 at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 550 Hill Rd. N., Pickerington, OH 43147, a memorial service, officiated by a member of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Clergy, will follow at 4:00 pm. Inurnment will take place on a later date.
