Richard A. Tuskes

Richard A. “Rick” Tuskes, November 11, 1946 to May 8, 2018. Survived by wife Kathleen, children Benjamin, Linda, and Matthew Tuskes; Mike Shulz, Stephanie Booth, Ramesh Davit, and nine grandchildren. Richard was born in Cleveland; attended universities in Ohio and California; and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He worked for the Defense Logistics Agency in California for many years before he retired and returned to Ohio. He was an avid gardener, an amateur actor, and a great fan of Harry Potter. Many people were touched by his generosity and friendship, including 29 young people who fostered in his home while his children were in their teens. He was a dearly beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, “Pops” and “Papaw.” He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He supported many charities including the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, numerous veterans’ organizations, the American Diabetes Association, and Habitat for Humanity. In keeping with his wishes and his own generous spirit, the family requests remembrances to the charity of your choice.
