Robert J. Martini, age 69, of Columbus died September 22, 2018 at Mount Carmel East. He was born June 18, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to the late George and Rita Martini.
Robert was a 1967 graduate of Bishop Hartley where he played in the Emeralds Band. He had a passion for music and was an outstanding piano player. After completing high school he started his own band called Ice Band. Robert was an A.R.R.L. Amateur Radio Operator- W8RJM and was an E.M.A. volunteer and a Wilmington Skywarn Spotter. He was a Union Rep. on the executive board for Local 2020, and belonged to the Fairfield Fish and Game Club, and the N.R.A.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Mitzi; children, Angela Askew, Joseph (Amanda) Martini, and Amy (Kyle) DeBiasi; grandchildren, Sarah, Alex, Alyssa, Jessica, William, Noah, Maverick, Jackson, and Nina; great-grandchildren, Naomi and Caden; sister, Patricia (John) Hinterschied; brother, Thomas (Alice) Martini; beloved cats, Kitty Cat, Shadow, and Booty; nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Honoring Robert’s wishes, services will be private at a later date.
