Robert L. Schumacher

Robert Leo Schumacher, age 93, of Lancaster, OH passed away January 27, 2019. He was born November 2, 1925 in Pickerington, OH to the late Albert and Helen Schumacher. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. Robert worked as a sheet metal worker for many years. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers, hunting and fishing. Preceded in death by his son, Randall Schumacher. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Marilyn Schumacher; six children, Jacalyn (Danny) Edwards, Sandra (Kenneth) Vanhorne, Stacey (John) Thomas, Buddy Schumacher, Deborah Schumacher and Bobby Schumacher Jr.; grandchildren, Nicole (Kevin), Toni (Mike), Stephanie (Tony), Brad (Bea), Corrina (Joe), Casey and Cody (Danielle); numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Kelley. Family and friends may visit 6-8:00pm on Wednesday, January 30, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St. Canal Winchester, OH 43110. A funeral service will begin at 10:00am on Thursday, January 31, at the funeral home. Interment at Lithopolis Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to hospice nurse, Starla Mason for her compassion and excellent care.
