Ruth E. Grumblatt, age 71, passed peacefully while enjoying music on October 8, 2021 with her family at her side. Ruth was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 19,1949. She lived most of her life in Marion, Ohio with her loving husband of 52 years, Michael.
The evidence of Ruth’s amazing green thumb flourished every year in her beautiful garden. She also loved taking rides in the country and enjoying the beautiful scenery, especially in the fall.
Ruth worked at Marion Public Library since 1987 until she retired. She was a wealth of information about movies, books and music and was happy to share her knowledge with library patrons, or give a smile and lend a listening ear.
Not only was Ruth kind to people she would meet, but she also showered her family with lots of love, including her cats.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Pearl (Newland) Large and siblings Lynn Jezerinac, Lizzie (Ken) Carr, Jerry Large, Jeannie Nash, and Stanley Large.
Ruth’s husband Michael Grumblatt; daughter Krista (Jerry) Graham; grandson Ian Graham; sisters Barbara (Walt) Malone and Edith (Buck) Moore; brother-in-law Ron Jezerinac and sister-in-law Sue (Bruce) Jones will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Ruth is truly a beautiful soul; we were blessed to have her on earth for a while. She wishes her ashes to go to the Smoky Mountains and for those who survive her to enjoy a Celebration of Life which will be at a future date.
