Tribute

Ruth Elena Mares Vance
9/10/34 – 12/30/21
Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with me, so that where I am, you may be also. John 14:3 (CJB)
The Vance, Kumbha and Mares families would like to share that Ruth has gone to be with her savior Jesus Christ. As promised, He has called her home now that her place with Him has been prepared for her. It was this promise of living eternally in His presence that she longed to see fulfilled.
Ruth was dearly loved by family and friends. Her role as wife, mom, aunt, grandmother, sibling and friend was seasoned with the love she had found in her life with Christ. The love she received was in response to the love she showed as she lived life in obedience to God’s command to love others unconditionally. She never hesitated to share the miraculous power of His love with others and always let people know that her life’s purpose was to be in a daily, active relationship with Jesus Christ. She spoke His truth and more importantly, she lived it.
While we feel the loss of her physical, daily presence, we rejoice that she is with her savior and that we who have acknowledged Jesus Christ as our savior will one day see her again when we too are called home by Him.
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will no longer be any death; and there will no longer be any mourning, crying or pain; because the old order has passed away.” Revelation 21:4 (CJB)
Throughout her life, Ruth supported organizations whose goal it was to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by word and deed; The Gideon’s, Focus on the Family, Samaritan’s Purse, among others. The Vance and Kumbha families would ask that in lieu of flowers, you would give to an organization that can reach out to, and help others both spiritually and practically.

A memorial service for Ruth will be held on Saturday, February 5 at NewLife Church, 8885 Basil Western Rd., Canal Winchester, OH 43110, 1:00 PM. For those who cannot attend in person, there will be a live stream via Facebook Live for NewLife Church.
Please rejoice with us as we find peace in knowing that Ruth is in her eternal home and that this separation from a loved one is only for a season.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
Psalms 23:1 & 6 (NKJV)
