Shirley E. Francetic

Shirley E. Francetic, age 85, passed away on March 31, 2020, after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 30, 1935, in McKeesport, PA, to the late Ballas and Elizabeth Sauers.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Daniel R. Francetic; and grandson Matthew Treneff.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Matt) Lepe of Middleton, WI, Donna (Nick) Treneff of Pickerington, OH, Daniel G. Francetic of Goodyear, AZ, and Brian (Lisa) Francetic of Highland Heights, OH; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Jack Treneff, Sophia, Vincent, Danielle, and Maria Francetic; and sister, Nancy McHarg.
Shirley graduated from McKeesport High School in 1953 and worked at Irvin Works Steel Company. Shirley and Dan were married on August 16, 1958. They moved to Euclid, OH, in 1962 and raised their family. Shirley worked at Parker Hannifin from 1982-1999. Upon retiring, she and Dan moved to Pickerington, OH. Shirley had a love of travel and treasured trips such as the family’s epic six week camping trip to the western United States, trips to Europe with Dan, and her favorite destination, Sanibel Island, FL. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins, though she was known to leave the room when they were losing. Most of all, Shirley will be fondly remembered for her kind and pleasant demeanor, her devoted love of family, for treating everyone with respect and for the touch of grace she always displayed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Private interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
