Shirley Mae Keske Thoburn

Shirley Mae Keske Thoburn, age 89, of Canal Winchester, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born September 1, 1934 in Cleveland to the late Edward and Loretta (Lohrey) Parsons. She was retired from Reynoldsburg City Schools as an administrative assistant with 25 years of service. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Pickerington, and was chairman of Eucharistic Adoration for 15 years. She also served on the board of School Employees Retirement Organization, and as past-president of the local chapter. She was a member of the Reynoldsburg Civic Club, and past-president of the Educational Office Professionals of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald Keske and Paul Thoburn; son, Brad Keske; sister, LaVerne Krueger; and brother, Donald Parsons.
She is survived by her children, Pamela Keske, Seattle, WA, Brian Keske, Lakewood, OH, Bruce (Jodi) Keske, Mason, OH; step-children, Misty (Craig) Zimmerman and Jeff (Lisa) Thoburn; grandchildren, Ariadna (Carlos), Matthew (Ashley), Jonathan (Stephanie), and Rachel (Evan); six step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Keske.
Friends may visit 2-4 & 6-8 pm Monday, November 20 at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home & Crematory, 550 Hill Rd N (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Tuesday, November 21 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 600 Hill Rd N (next door to the funeral home). Interment will be later at Holy Cross Cemetery.
