Susan Lynn Tomlinson

Susan Lynn Tomlinson, age 60, passed away on January 1, 2022 in Canal Winchester. She was born on February 28, 1961 in Logan, OH to Roger and Janet (Orr) Grueser. She was actively involved in her community and at David Lutheran church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for a number of years. Susan also supported her sons through Scouting and enjoyed camping with her family. As a parent of high school athletes, she was especially involved with the Canal Winchester cross country team. In the time Susan didn’t spend assisting her family and community, she enjoyed reading, participating in book club, and taking her dog Ellie to the park.
Susan is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Tomlinson; sons, Jimmy (Alicia) Foster, Jared Tomlinson and Jay Tomlinson; mother, Janet Grueser-Mara; sisters, Gina (Perry) Meyers, Lisa (Joe) Griffith and Jennifer Grueser; mother-in-law Glenna Tomlinson; sister-in-law Susan (Rick) Miller; brothers-in-law Russ Tomlinson and John (Julie) Tomlinson; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Roger Grueser.
Friends and family may call from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH. The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.spencefuneralhome.com.
